1. Great Idea!

   Now this comes in handy...It's perfectly placed and easily accessible. The knife that he also sells fits like a glove and is snug in the sheath so you don't have to worry about it coming loose if you're running. It also frees up room on your hip if you're carrying a possibles bag and belt bags, no fiddling to find a patch knife on your hip amongst all your gear. It also looks great on the all leather strap....it's like being for your possibles bag. Love it. You won't be disappointed with this add - on.

2. Depends on How high you wear your hunting bag

   Sheath complements the knife hunting bag well. The sheath centers the knife handle about 7 inches below your chin. Well positioned to center on your chest unless you like to carry your bag off the hip higher up your chest. Then the knife butt is closer by a few inches under your chin. After trying it out with right hand draw, I would've preferred the blade edge of sheath facing downward, instead of as pictured. As is, I have to reposition the blade in my hand after drawing it, in order to slice outward across the muzzle. An extra step withdrawing, and resheathing. Thats only reason it's not a 5-star.
