This southern inspired screw-tip powder horn was made by Chris Helsel, it is an interpretation or a Rockingham County Virginia Horn.
The horn measures 2” In diameter at the plug and is 13.25 around the curve and 11" tip to tip. The plug and stopper are made from maple. The tip is made from two pieces of cow horn.
This is a one-of-a-kind horn and the horn pictured will be the one you receive. The maker Chris Helsel was just advanced to journeyman by the Honorable Company of Horners and has won multiple awards on his horns the Gunmakers Fair at Kempton as well as other events.
