Powder horn #1

This second-generation Philadelphia inspired screw-tip powder horn was made by Chris Helsel. (Country Squirrel Horn Works)

The horn is translucent and measures 13-1/2" Tip to tip. It is 2-3/4” In diameter and is 16-3/4" around the curve. The plug and the stopper are made from antique chestnut. The tip is made from two pieces of cow horn.

This is a one-of-a-kind horn and the horn pictured will be the one you receive. The maker Chris Helsel was just advanced to journeyman by the Honorable Company of Horners and has won multiple awards on his horns the Gunmakers Fair at Kempton as well as other events.
