Product Description

This one of a kind Flint Lock pistol holster is designed to carry a flint or percussion muzzleloader pistol cross draw style on a 2 1/2" belt. Made of 8 ounce latigo leather. The design allows the hammer to be fully covered so the hammer can not be accidentally caught on a shirt or coat sleeve which may cause a discharge of a loaded gun. Pistol is securely held in place which is again safer and more comfortable than sticking a pistol under a belt. Shown with our 2 1/2" matching belt , sold separately. Or add the shoulder rig yoke ( sold separately)   to carry your pistol more comfortably under your arm and out of the way.

    The holster appears well-built and fits both my Pedersoli Kentucky pistol and my longer barrel custom built southern style pistol very well. I do wish the interior was a little softer or lined to reduce the risk of holster wear over time since the leather is hard, but given most of us won't be carrying our pistols in a holster for extended period of time or frequently drawing from them, this shouldn't be a major issue.

    Great leather work and stitching. Clearly fine leather.
    The only issue was fit for a full size military flintlock. Pistol did fit (barely) in the holster but was very “top heavy” because of minimal insertion so basically it always felt like it was going to fall out. Had to make some modifications with a razor knife. Again my pistol is perhaps larger then most. YMMV.

    High quality and works great with the shoulder yoke. My cap and ball plains pistol and trapper flintlock pistol fit just right.
